Students will have the opportunity to observe outpatient X-rays and scans being undertaken in the Radiology department and gain an understanding of how images are taken, processed and reported. This will be an invaluable placement for those wishing to study Diagnostic Radiography at University.
You will be required to attend an induction session before your placement, we will book you onto a session in line with your placement start date.

On the day of the placement please report to B Floor main X-ray department, Queen’s Medical Centre at 9am and ask for Jasmine Wood.

We currently have very limited for work experience prior to June 2026. Applicants may still requests dates prior to June, but we will have no flexibility in the dates we offer.
Due to the demand for work experience placements, all work experience applicants must be Nottinghamshire residents or attend full-time education in Nottinghamshire. Applicants must attend an induction before they can attend the placement.
The wearing of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) will be required throughout the experience .
If you are successful, we can only co-ordinate one placement per person, per academic year, through the directory of placements. This is due to the demand for placements.
