Students will have the opportunity to observe the role of an Occupational Therapist within the acute hospital setting. Over the 2 days of work experience there will be the opportunity to shadow Occupational Therapists in a variety of clinical specialities. This placement is across both the Queen's Medical Centre and Nottingham City Hospital campuses.

You will be required to attend an NUH work experience induction session before your placement.

No cropped tops, short skirts, jeans, shorts, hoodies or jogging bottoms. Flat clean shoes/smart black trainer. Bare below the elbow in clinical areas. Long hair tied back and only one set of stud earrings. No other jewellery.

Applicants need to be able to attend both of the full days.
This placement is only suitable for those applicants wishing to pursue a career as an Occupational Therapist, it is not suitable for those who wish to become a psychologist, mental health therapist, or counsellor.
This placement is across both the Queen's Medical Centre and Nottingham City Hospital campuses. Due to the demand for work experience placements, all work experience applicants must be Nottinghamshire residents or attend full-time education in Nottinghamshire. Applicants need to be 16 years or older. Applicants must attend an induction before they can attend the placement. If you are successful, we can only co-ordinate one placement per person, per academic year, through the directory of placements. This is due to the demand for placements.
